From the Menu of "The Coulter Plough Family Restaurant"


Wilted Lettuce Salad
Fannie Armstrong

Approximately 8 c leaf lettuce, cut finely
1/2 c green onions (chopped)
2 tsp sugar
1/4 c apple cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp oil
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Heat and stir the sugar, vinegar, salt and oil. Mix well.
Pour over the lettuce and toss.
Sprinkle with additional crumbled bacon as desired.
